Sailing Certificate For Experienced Sailors

Every spring & summer season RSM Sailing club gives to every student and alumni a double opportunity to get the most out of the warm and sunny weekends. For those that have affiliation with sailing or not the following two sailing courses are offered for the spring & summer period of the 2nd and 3rd Term.

The Sailing Club in cooperation with a local sailing school managed to achieve a great offer for imminent captains.  This course is suitable for experienced sailors in sailing yachts. It gives the opportunity to obtain a certificate based on both the English “YachtMaster” and the Dutch CWO. In this course you will learn to sail safely a cabins sailing yacht on your own. Moreover important items that you will learn are: manoeuvres, knots and ropes, taking and following command, wind aspects, sailing nomenclature, safety, navigation (traditional with charts and pencil), calculation, GPS, preventing damage etc.

Place: Durgerdam (30minutes by bus from Amsterdam train station)

No of PARTICIPANTS: 4 Persons per Yacht

Dates: Certification requirements is 2 consecutive weekends. Weekends to be arranged with the 4 participants. Every Saturday overnight on boat and Sunday afternoon departure. Courses can be held till end of July. Also courses can be held in 4 consecutive days in case there is a group of 4 persons available.

Price: €400 per person (includes instructor tuition fees, 2 overnights in the boat and the certification)

Registration Deadline: Till May 15th in order to make proper allocation of the groups.

After completion with success the exams you will receive your Seamaster skipper license which is valuable all over the world and gives you the possibility to hire a sailing yacht in the Mediterranean.

You can combine the course with nice cooking on board and apart from a valuable certificate you can gain a memorable experience with your friends and classmates.
