RSM is glad to announce the 2nd RSM MBA Regatta

After the 1^st successful RSM MBA Regatta in Medemblik, Netherlands, this year RSM proudly presents the 2^nd RSM MBA Regatta 2011 in Lemmer, Friesland on August 19^th -21^st

RSM MBA Regatta is open to all the schools of the MBA Sailing League and its MBA students and Alumni.

What does the regatta offers?

An excellent opportunity to exercise the skills of high achieving MBAs: Excellence, leadership, teamwork, endurance, effective communication, crisis management, planning and decision making
Great Networking opportunities with other MBA Allumni and students
Fun, entertainment in a casual short holiday
A two-day racing and networking event with on- and off-shore activities
A formal award ceremony for the best team

What the Location offers?

Lemmer is an old typical Dutch town known for top water sport events in the Province of Friesland. It’s a highly touristic area and in this year’s regatta, the participants will fortunately be able to have a glimpse and be a part of a Dutch sailing tradition:

What do you need?

You do not need to be a certified sailor you only need

Enthusiasm for Sailing
NO sailing experience (each boat will need 1 skipper, skipper can also be provided with extra cost)
Strong will to compete and win

Who can attend?

Every RSM MBA student or Alumnus out of the MBA, OneMBA, EMBA, PTO or MFM programs
Other MBA students and Alumni from the MBAs of the MBA sailing league
Faculty, spouses or family (Maximum 50% per boat)

Sailing CERTIFICATE for Experienced Sailors

SAILING CERTIFICATE FOR EXPERIENCED SAILORS

The Sailing Club in cooperation with a local sailing school managed to achieve a great offer for imminent captains. This course is suitable for experienced sailors in sailing yachts. It gives the opportunity to obtain a certificate based on both the English “YachtMaster” and the Dutch CWO. In this course you will learn to sail safely a cabins sailing yacht on your own. Moreover important items that you will learn are: manoeuvres, knots and ropes, taking and following command, wind aspects, sailing nomenclature, safety, navigation (traditional with charts and pencil), calculation, GPS, preventing damage etc.

The summer season is reaching and the RSM Sailing club gives to every student and alumni a double opportunity to get the most out of the hot forthcoming weekends. For those that have affiliation with sailing or not the following two sailing courses are offered for the summer period which begins after the exams at June 11th.
