RSM MBA Regatta 2012 is ready to be for the first time one of the MBA Sailing League official regattas!
RSM MBA Regatta, bringing the experience of the two previous regattas is ready to raise the level of the competition with Bavaria 37 2007 and Bavaria 36 2011 and to offer an amazing sailing experience for experienced and inexperienced sailors from the Business Schools of the world.
Who can attend?
- Every RSM MBA student or Alumnus out of the MBA, OneMBA, EMBA, PTO or MFM programs
- MBA Sailing Clubs of the Top MBA Schools of the World
- MBA students and Alumni from the MBA schools of the MBA Sailing League
- Faculty, spouses or family (Maximum 50% per boat)
What does the regatta offer?
- An excellent opportunity to exercise the skills of high achieving MBAs: Excellence, leadership, teamwork, endurance, effective communication, crisis management, planning and decision making
- Great Networking opportunities with other MBA Alumni and students from Top MBA Schools of the World
- Fun, entertainment in a casual short holiday
- Competition will be held in two new built exact types of Bavaria 37 2007 and Bavaria 36 2011
- A two-day racing and networking event with on- and off-shore activities
- A formal award ceremony for the best team
What does the Location offer?
Lemmer is an old typical Dutch town known for top water sport events in the Province of Friesland. It’s a highly touristic area and a hub of the Dutch sailing tradition, where you can explore the Dutch Skutjes design and naval architecture.
What do you need to participate?
If you are not member of an MBA Sailing Club, you do not need to be a sailor, you only need:
- Enthusiasm for Sailing
- NO sailing experience (each boat will need 1 skipper, skipper can also be provided with extra cost 110€/day, cost applies, if the skipper cannot be organized via the RSM Sailing club)
- Strong will to compete and win
How much does it cost?
- Participation cost is 380€ per person
- You will need to pay a refundable 800€ deposit on registering for the boat in cash.
- In case of bad weather you can rent bad weather gear for 25€ p.p.
The entry fee includes:
- Charter of the boats including safety equipment such as life jackets
- Costs of Racing Committee and racing organization
- Sleeping on board of the chartered Yachts
- English and continental breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday
- Lunch packages on Saturday & Sunday
- A dinner buffet and networking welcome party on Friday evening
- An exclusive dinner & party on Saturday evening
- Prize ceremony on Sunday with refreshments and snacks

Travel Information
Where: Vuurtorenweg 17 B – HJ 8531 – Lemmer
By car
It is a 1:15h drive from Schipol Airport.
To get to Lemmer, drive the A6 north and take the exit 17 – Lemmer into the direction Balk.
To use a navigation system, use the Address “Vuurtorenweg 17 B – HJ 8531 – Lemmer”
By public transportation
You can take public transportation from Schipol Airport to
- Lelystad Centrum -40 minutes away from Lemmer, but direct connection from Schipol.
- Heerenveen – 20 minutes away from Lemmer, but you have to change trains in Amersfoort.
From Lelystad to Heerenveen you have to take a cab. However we are thinking of organizing a shuttle bus. If you are thinking about coming by public transportation and want to participate in the shuttle, please contact the club. Confirmation will be done from us after the close of the subscription
