DESCRIPTION:The event \nRSM Sailing Club welcomes you to the IE Regatta 2025. This year\, the 11th edition of the IE MBA Regatta will take place in the stunning and warm waters near the Cascais marina in Cascais\, Lisbon Portugal. \nAbout the Location: Cascais\, Lisboa\, Portugal \nHistorically Cascais was a small fishing village located approx. 20 km from Lisbon on the beautiful Atlantic coast. It turned into a favourite spot of European nobility in the early 20th century and today it is an elegant blend of 19th century architecture\, traditional Portuguese charm and outstanding tourist facilities.\n\nCascais is a paradise for those who enjoy outdoor activities\, the ones who just seek to relax or those who want to explore the history of the region or delicious Portuguese gastronomy. Beautiful\, romantic and historical Sintra is around the corner and Lisbon & its airport are within a quick ride.\n\nCascais is considered to be one of the best places to sail in the world. Different racing areas are available. Inside the bay the wind can be shifty and the sea tends to be more flat and further South & West winds tend to be more stable with a bigger Atlantic swell. \n \nThe Races \nWe are going to have the following divisions competing: \n\n– Division A: Class J70\, the official racing class for the annual MBA Sailing League\,  previous regatta experience required + at least one certified RSM skipper\, crews of 5\n\n\nDivision AB: Class Grand Surprise\, perfect for learning more advanced sailing in a controlled environment\, basic sailing experience is a plus\, crews of 7\, the organization provides a professional skipper \nDivision B: Cruising boats regatta\, a fun way to enjoy yachting in a competitive yet relaxed environment\, no previous sailing experience required\, crews of 8 to 10\, the organization provides a professional skipper \n\nTravel \nTravel is not included in the tickets\, and we recommend you to book your transportation as early as possible. Closest airport is Humberto Delgado (LIS); you can also fly to Oporto (OPO) or Faro (FAO) – in this case you can reach Cascais by train\, bus or car (this will add up to 4 hours to your trip).   \nAccommodation \nLodgment is not included in the tickets. Exceptionally\, some of the div B boats can host some participants on board\, at an extra cost. This year the emphasis of this event is more in racing sailing with J80 in the stunning warm winter location of Lanzarote.  This year addition is that the accommodation will be by lovely villas at the Marina. \nThe Races\nJ80 is a fixed keel racing boat. It is easy and safe to sail and can reach 20 knots speed in downwind sail. Ideal crew is 5 people (Skipper\, Mainsail Handler\, Jibber and Mast man). DESCRIPTION:The Event: \nThe MIP School of Business – Politecnico di Milano is organizing a new event in the MBA Global Sailing League: the MIP CAPRI Regatta. The MBA Sailing Clubs’ main event welcomes the world’s top Business Schools to enjoy an extraordinary long weekend of sailing and fun. \nSailing\, Sea\, Fun… these are the 3 words that we have in mind organizing the 2022 MIP Regatta in the fantastic location of the archipelago of Neapolitan islands (Procida and Capri)! \nArrival in Procida Isle: Thursday\, May 26th. At 17:30 the first Skipper Briefing will be held\, which will sanction the rules of the sailing activities. \nIn the evening after the visit to the exhibition on the monitoring of pollutants in coastal and river waters\, there will be a very interesting speech in streaming from San Diego State University on issues related to the fight against marine pollution. The dinner will be cooked by the chef Marianna Vitale\, Michelin Award Chef Donna 2020 \n​On Friday there will be the first Regatta from Procida to Capri\, where there will be a shore game (which will give points in the final ranking).\nOn Saturday\, the second Regatta around Capri will define the final race classification and the winners’ podium. In the evening\, you can join the conference with special guest of nautical world that will be followed by the Awards Ceremony. Join us for The RSM MBA Armada. \nThis event brings RSM MBA students & alumni together with other MBA networks for a sailing adventure through the Ionian Sea. Attendees of the RSM MBA Armada will bond\, hang out and have fun in one of the most beautiful locations worldwide. \nWe’ll sail from island to island\, admiring unbelievable landscapes and swimming in crystal-clear light blue waters in the Western islands of Greece.
