DESCRIPTION:The event \nRSM Sailing Club welcomes you to the IE Regatta 2026. This year\, the 12th edition of the IE MBA Regatta will take place in the stunning and warm waters near the Cascais marina in Cascais\, Lisbon Portugal. \nAbout the Location: Cascais\, Lisboa\, Portugal \nHistorically Cascais was a small fishing village located approx. 20 km from Lisbon on the beautiful Atlantic coast. It turned into a favourite spot of European nobility in the early 20th century and today it is an elegant blend of 19th century architecture\, traditional Portuguese charm and outstanding tourist facilities.\n\nCascais is a paradise for those who enjoy outdoor activities\, the ones who just seek to relax or those who want to explore the history of the region or delicious Portuguese gastronomy. Beautiful\, romantic and historical Sintra is around the corner and Lisbon & its airport are within a quick ride.\n\nCascais is considered to be one of the best places to sail in the world. Different racing areas are available. Inside the bay the wind can be shifty and the sea tends to be more flat and further South & West winds tend to be more stable with a bigger Atlantic swell. \n \nThe Races \nWe are going to have the following divisions competing: \n\nDivision A: Class J70\, the official racing class for the annual MBA Sailing League\,  previous regatta experience required + at least one certified RSM skipper\, crews of 5\n\n\nDivision AB: Class Grand Surprise\, perfect for learning more advanced sailing in a controlled environment\, basic sailing experience is a plus\, crews of 7\, the organization provides a professional skipper \n\nTravel \nTravel is not included in the tickets\, and we recommend you to book your transportation as early as possible.
