The event

IE is hosting once again this year the Winter MBA Regatta in Lanzarote’s Marina Puerto Calero. This year the emphasis of this event is more in racing sailing with 22 matched J80 in the stunning warm winter location of Lanzarote. Two J80s are allocated per school, which means two 5 member crews are allowed for RSM. This year addition is that the accommodation will be by lovely villas at the Marina.

The Races
J80 is a fixed keel racing boat. It is easy and safe to sail and can reach 20 knots speed in downwind sail. Ideal crew is 5 people (Skipper, Mainsail Handler, Jibber and Mast man). The racing committee will provide Trac Trac GPS tracing.

Travel
To Lanzarote: Airport Guacimeta: Located 6km from the capital, between Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen. Belongs to the municipality of San Bartolome.

It is divided into 2 terminals:

• The T1 for flights to and from the Peninsula (from where several companies like Air Europa, Iberia and EasyJet fly on a daily basis) and flights for the rest of the world.
• The T2 for the inter-island regular flights (Binter Canarias, Canaryfly).

Puerto Calero, its marina and the hotel are located 13 km from the airport, which is less than 15 min by taxi.

Division A

• Early Bird: € 499/ sailor until December 10th
• Normal: € 559 / sailor until January 14th
• Late Arrival: € 609 / sailor until February 18th

Included in the participation fee:

• Maximum 5 people crew, students or alumni of IE
• Boat J80, regatta and port fees on March 10th and 11th
• Lodgment from March 9th to March 12th at Hotel Costa Calero ****
• 1 double room + 1 triple room for each crew
• Breakfast on March 10th, 11th and 12th at Hotel Costa Calero
• Dinner on March 9th, 10th and 11th at Hotel Costa Calero
• Sandwich Lunch (delivered on the boat) on March 10th and 11th
• Access to the hotel SPA for two days to each crew member

Division B

Included in the participation fee:

• Lodgment from March 10th to March 12th at Hotel Costa Calero ****
• Boats fees and Regatta on March 11th o Lodgment in triple rooms
• Breakfast on March 11th and 12th at Hotel Costa Calero
• Dinner on 10th and 11th at Hotel Costa Calero
• Sandwich Lunch (delivered on the boat) on March 11th
• Access to the hotel SPA in one of the days of lodgment

The price includes a 5% Paypal fee. If the payment is performed via iDeal the price will be discounted by 3.5%.
Only MBA students/alumni can participate to the events organized or sponsored by the RSM Sailing Club.
If non MBA people buy tickets for the events, participation will not be allowed and the RSM Sailing Club will not refund the ticket.
